LC Head Coach Mark Tippett:
"When teams at this level are evenly matched, it certainly makes
for a fun and exciting event. Today's match was a great example of
this. Both teams played hard and we were fortunate to come away with
the win.
"After controlling set one, we had trouble getting anything going
against Greeneville for about an hour. Our players stayed confident
in each other when it would have been easy to throw in the towel.
"I was quite impressed with the choices made by our setters and
the confidence with which our hitters were swinging in set five. It
would be nice to not have to go to a fifth set to get a win, but if
we proved anything in our last two outings it's that our players are
not afraid to play aggressivley at the end of a match."
LC travels to Springfield to play Lincoln Land CC on Wednesday
evening.
