Lincoln College to induct 2014 Athletic
Hall of Fame Class

LINCOLN - Lincoln College will host its
second annual Athletic Hall of Fame banquet on Friday, November 7 as
part of the 2014 Homecoming and Family Weekend activities taking place
from November 3 through 8 on the Lincoln campus. Well-known radio
personality Sam Madonia will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the
banquet. The Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes and celebrates the long
and exemplary history of athletics at Lincoln College.

The Athletic Hall of Fame banquet will be held in the Davidson-Sheffer
Gymnasium and includes a cocktail reception from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30
p.m., followed by dinner and the awards program. The event is open
to the public, but seating is limited so early reservations are
recommended. The deadline for reservations is October 16. To make

The 2014 Athletic Hall of Fame class includes Lynx basketball player
Mike Lumpp (class of 1962), Lynx baseball and basketball player
Dennis Werth (class of 1973), Lady Lynx softball and volleyball
player Lynn Thompson-Jackson (class of 1981), and former coaches
Allen Pickering and Cynthia Slayton Jackson.

The Lincoln College Athletic Hall of Fame recognizes student
athletes, teams, coaches, managers, administrators, faculty,
staff, and friends who have distinguished themselves in the
field of athletics at Lincoln College, either by their
performance on an athletic team or by meritorious efforts in
supporting the athletic program at the College.
