 The Detroit Red Wings reached agreement Tuesday with restricted 
			free-agent defenseman Danny DeKeyser on a two-year contract.
 
 The team did not release financial details, but The Sporting News 
			reported the deal is worth $4.375 million and includes $2.125 
			million in the first year, $2.25 million in the second year and a 
			$500,000 signing bonus.

 Accomplished NHL executive Bill Daly and former player, coach, 
			current Flyers executive Paul Holmgren have been named recipients of 
			the 2014 Lester Patrick Trophy for outstanding service to hockey in 
			the United States.
 
 A ceremony will be held in Minneapolis in December.
