			5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Heartland Nursing Home, 
			Henry. |

							4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.  An 
							Eastern Star Service will be held at 3:30 p.m.

							Obituary 
							 
							Violet M. “Vi” Bismark, 90, of Henry, IL, formerly 
							of Lincoln, IL passed away at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, 
							September 9, 2014 at Heartland Healthcare Center, 
							Henry.
 Vi was born December 17, 1923 in Wahoo, Nebraska, 
							the daughter of Ernest and Elsie Vance. She married 
							Robert Bismark April 13, 1941 in Marengo, Iowa. 
							Being much in love with each other, they were 
							married 69 years before Robert’s death April 15, 
							2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 
							and a sister, Rita.
 
 Vi is survived by three sons: Wayne Bismark of 
							Maryville, TN; Dean (Pam) Bismark of Hennepin, IL; 
							Larry Bismark of Jonesborough, TN; four grandsons: 
							Joshua, Jeffrey, Andrew, and Bryan Bismark; and one 
							granddaughter: Andrea (Craig) Armstrong; eight great 
							grandchildren.

							Vi was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, 
							Lincoln and the Eastern Star. She was very active in 
							the church including the Charity Guild. She worked 
							as a secretary with her husband at the Bismark 
							Insurance Agency. 
							 
							Services for Vi will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, 
							September 13 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral 
							Home, Lincoln with Ryan Edgecombe officiating. 
							Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the 
							funeral home prior to the service. An Eastern Star 
							Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. A private burial 
							will be Monday, at New Union Cemetery, Lincoln. 
							Memorials may be given in her memory to Lincoln 
							Heritage Museum.
