The match was won by Parkland (19-1) in four sets. LC came out
slow and sluggish in set one and only managed to score 8 points. In
set two, the Lady Lynx put up more of a fight, but the Cobras pulled
away late in the set and won it by ten, 15-25. Set three saw Lincoln
improve their level of play and maintain a four to five point
advantage most of the set on their way to winning it 25-19. In set
four, the two teams battled their way to a 9-9 tie before Parkland
was able to run off seven straight points to take command. PC
eventually took the set 15-25. Lincoln drops to 6-4 on the year.

LC Head Coach Mark Tippett: The first set was a disaster for us, but
the good news is that we did not throw in the towel when it would
have been easy to do so. Our players played with a lot of spirit in
set two and showed that we can compete against a nationally ranked
opponent. Winning set three was a big confidence boost for us, and
it is evidnence that we are an improving team. Tonight's match
showed that we have a lot of room for growth, but overall it was a
positive learning experience.
Lincoln travels south this weekend to take on Rend Lake College
Friday evening then participate in a trangular set of matches at
Kaskaskia College on Saturday.
