Obituary
Atlanta- Katy Goodman, 81, of rural Atlanta passed
away on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at her home.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Goodman will be held on
Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the
Jefferson Street Christian Church.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00
p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Jefferson Street
Christian Church.
Burial will be in the Old Union Cemetery in Lincoln.
Kathryn "Katy" Goodman was born on November 18, 1932
in rural Lincoln the daughter of Byford and Marie
Gurley Boyd. Katy was united in marriage on December
7, 1950 to Walter Lee Goodman. He survives.
Also surviving are her daughter: Lisa (Greg Paul)
Goodman of Bloomington, three sisters: Dorothy
(Jack) Bale of Lincoln, Sue (Harold) Humphrey of
Petersburg, Marilyn (Clancy) Stoll of Chestnut. Two
brothers: Jerry (Skosh) Boyd of Lincoln, James (Kay)
Boyd of Broadwell.
Twelve grandchildren, Fourteen Great grandchildren.
Many Nieces and nephews. |
She was preceded in death by one son: Larry L.
Goodman, one sister: Marylou Cadwallader.
Katy graduated from the Beason High School in 1949.
She was a former member of the Lincoln Logan County
REACT, member of the Jefferson Street Christian
Church.
Katy and Walter are the owners of the Hickory Lane
Campground.
Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad or
the Logan County Home Health.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peasley
Funeral Home.
