On Tuesday evening,
Chester-East Lincoln staff, students and families came back to
school after hours. From 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. the Ron Groth Memorial
Track and fields around the east side of the school were a busy
place.
It was a perfect weather evening, sunny with 70 degree temps.
Parents, grandparents, teachers and kids walked and talked, chased
and played, and they ate healthy snacks of apples and granola with
water.
It was the Chester-East Lincoln 2014 Walk-a-Thon sponsored by the
Community Club to promote CEL being a CATCH school this year.
Promoted as is a great opportunity to spend time with family, a
healthy lifestyle, and showing support for the school, the turnout
for the Walk-a-Thon was excellent.
