[March 27, 2015]
The Elkhart Historical Society is
pleased to announce this year’s second Wildhare Café dinner lecture, this
time on Saturday, April 18th, by the Director of Creekside Outdoor Center
for Environmental Education, Dr. Dennis Campbell. |
His topic, “The Life and Times of Logan County
Mammals”, will be informative and entertaining. It will cover three
different time periods, from far gone eras when wooly mammoths
roamed, to the 1800’s during Abraham Lincoln’s time here, to the
current time period and what still remains in the wilds of Logan
County.
Dr. Campbell, a professor at Lincoln College for twenty-two years
teaching courses in both life and earth sciences, holds bachelor and
master degrees from Texas Tech University and a doctorate in zoology
from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Please
go to the society’s website at
http://www.elkhart historicalsociety.org/ for the
reservation form or call: 217-947-2238.
