			 MLB Note - Baltimore Orioles Perez, Audry 
			 
			C Audry Perez was acquired by the Orioles from the Rockies in a cash 
			deal, giving Baltimore additional insurance at the position with 
			Matt Wieters working his way back to full health. Perez, 26, played 
			a combined three major league games for St. Louis the past two 
			years, going 0-for-1. He went 1-for-11 in eight games for Colorado 
			this spring.

			MLB Note - Colorado Rockies Culberson, Charlie 
			 
			INF Charlie Culberson, slowed by a bulging disk in his lower back 
			this spring, was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on March 31. In 
			seven Cactus League games, he batted .286 with one RBI. Culberson 
			was unsuccessful in his bid to make the Opening Day roster as a 
			utility infielder. That was Culberson's role last season when he 
			spent the entire season with the Rockies, except for one week in 
			April. In 95 games, Culberson filled in decently on defense but 
			batted .195 with 210 at-bats as he struggled to find any offensive 
			rhythm while playing sparingly.

			MLB Note - Pittsburgh Pirates Holdzkom, John 
			 
			RHP John Holdzkom was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on March 31, 
			ending his bid to make the Pirates' season-opening bullpen. He was 
			pitching in independent ball last June but wound up pitching 
			high-leverage innings during the pennant race in September. 
			Holdzkom, 27, posted a 3.38 ERA in seven relief appearances this 
			spring.

			MLB Note - Boston Red Sox Paulino, Felipe 
			 
			RHP Felipe Paulino, who was sidelined late in spring training due to 
			a right biceps strain, was released by the Red Sox on March 31. 
			Paulino, 31, had a 2.25 ERA in four relief appearances for Boston 
			this spring. He went 0-2 with an 11.29 ERA in four major league 
			starts for the White Sox in 2014, then had his $4 million option 
			declined by Chicago on Oct. 31.

			MLB Note - No MLB Team Free Agents Masset, Nick 
			 
			RHP Nick Masset was released by the Marlins in March 31. In nine 
			relief appearances this spring, he went 1-1 with a 7.36 ERA. Masset, 
			32, appeared in 51 games for Colorado last year, going 2-0 with a 
			5.80 ERA.

			MLB Note - Atlanta Braves Terdoslavich, Joey 
			 
			OF/1B Joey Terdoslavich (sore left wrist) didn't play March 22-31. 
			He was due to return to action April 1 to resume his battle for a 
			bench job with the Braves.

			MLB Note - Baltimore Orioles Tillman, Chris 
			 
			RHP Chris Tillman will be the Orioles' Opening Day start for the 
			second consecutive season. Tillman received the nod over LHP Wei-Yin 
			Chen and RHP Bud Norris for the April 6 game against the Rays, 
			becoming the first Orioles pitcher to start back-to-back openers 
			since Jeremy Guthrie in 2008-09. Tillman, 26, finished last season 
			with a 13-6 record and a 3.34 ERA in 34 starts covering 207 1/3 
			innings. He surpassed 200 innings for the second consecutive season. 
			In six major league seasons, Tillman has a 45-31 record and a 4.00 
			ERA in 118 career starts, including 67 the past two years.

			MLB Note - Seattle Mariners Montgomery, Mike 
			 
			LHP Mike Montgomery was acquired by the Mariners from the Rays on 
			March 31 in exchange for RHP Erasmo Ramirez. 
			 
			Montgomery, 25, went 10-5 with a 4.29 ERA in 25 starts for Triple-A 
			Durham last year. He was acquired by the Rays from the Royals before 
			the 2013 season as part of a seven-player trade involving RHP James 
			Shields, RHP Wade Davis and OF Wil Myers. Montgomery has options 
			remaining, so he is likely to open the season with Triple-A Tacoma.

			MLB Note - Tampa Bay Rays Ramirez, Erasmo 
			 
			RHP Erasmo Ramirez was acquired by the Rays from the Mariners on 
			March 31 in exchange for LHP Mike Montgomery. 
			  
			 
			 
			Ramirez, 24, was 1-6 with a 5.26 ERA in 17 appearances, including 14 
			starts, for the Mariners in 2014. He is out of options heading into 
			the 2015 season, and he was not going to make Seattle's Opening Day 
			roster. However, he is likely to be part of Tampa Bay's 
			season-opening rotation.
