[April 02, 2015]  April 1 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of Wednesday's National Hockey League games:

Flyers 4, Penguins 1

The Philadelphia Flyers topped cross-state rivals Pittsburgh 4-1, with Brayden Schenn leading the way with two goals.

The win was Philadelphia's seventh straight over the Penguins and improved their regular-season record at Consol Energy Center to 11-2-0 since the building opened.

The seven-game winning run is the Flyers' longest such streak since 1985.

Sabres 4, Maple Leafs 3

Buffalo scored two third-period goals to beat Toronto 4-3 in a matchup of the Eastern Conference's bottom two teams.

Sabres winger Matt Ellis netted the game-winner on a close-range backhand shot 3:14 into the third, less than two minutes after Matt Moulson tied the score with a power-play goal. (Compiled by Cameron French; Editing by Peter Rutherford)
