Obituary
Nicholas Lee Wilmert, 53, of Lincoln passed away at
12:51 a.m. April 1, 2015 at Decatur Memorial
Hospital, Decatur.
Nicholas was born August 11, 1961 in Lincoln, the
son of Kenneth L. and Sharon A. Matheny Wilmert. He
married Yolanda Bechachino July 23, 1983 in San
Diego, CA. She survives in Lincoln.
Nicholas is survived by his father, Kenneth L.
(Lorraine) Wilmert of Bloomington; his mother,
Sharon A. (Gordon “Doc”) Josserand of Lincoln;
daughter, Sharon A. (Duane) Durnin of Waterloo, IA;
son, Mark Anthony (Christine) Davis of San Diego,
CA; Siblings: Richard Lee (Susie) Wilmert of Las
Vegas, NV; Kenneth Lee (Theresa) Wilmert, Jr. of
Albuquerque, NM; Tina Marie (David) Fogal of
Bloomington; eight grandchildren: Duane Jr; Devann;
Caitlin; Mark Anthony Jr; Anastasia; Serena; David
and Anthony and his two great grandchildren,
Lilyonha and Laylonie. |
Nicholas was retired from the U.S. Navy having
served for 22 years. He was a member of Park Meadows
Baptist Church and the Eagles Lodge # 2708.
Services for Nicholas will be at 10:00 a.m.
Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Park Meadows Baptist
Church, Lincoln with Jeremy Vance officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4 p.m. to
7 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home,
Lincoln. Burial will be in Camp Butler National
Cemetery, Springfield, Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
Memorials may be given to Decatur Cancer Center or
Park Meadows Baptist Church of Lincoln.
