			Calgary booked a spot in the postseason for the first time since 
			2008-09 after beating Los Angeles 3-1 at the Scotiabank Saddledome, 
			a win that also eliminates the defending Stanley Cup champions from 
			playoff contention. 
			 
			The Flames (45-29-7) got first-period goals from wingers Johnny 
			Gaudreau and Jiri Hudler, who also buried an empty-netter to close 
			the game out in the third period.

			Panthers 4, Bruins 2 
			 
			The Florida Panthers delivered another blow to the Boston Bruins' 
			playoff hopes with a 4-2 win on at the BB&T Center. 
			 
			The Bruins (95 points) fell a point behind the idle Pittsburgh 
			Penguins and two behind the Ottawa Senators in the battle for the 
			final playoff berth in the Eastern Conference. 
			 
			Pittsburgh have two games remaining while Boston and Ottawa have

			Senators 3, Rangers 0 
			 
			Goals from Clarke MacArthur and Kyle Turris in the second period 
			helped Ottawa to a 3-0 victory over the New York Rangers at Madison 
			Square Garden. 
			 
			The win allowed the Senators (42-26-13) to vault into a wild-card 
			spot in the Eastern Conference. They have one game remaining against 
			the Flyers in Philadelphia.

			Canadiens 4, Red Wings 3 (overtime) 
			 
			Lars Eller scored the winner at 1:21 of overtime as Montreal took a 
			4-3 win over Detroit at the Bell Centre. 
			 
			The point from the overtime loss, coupled with Boston's defeat in 
			regulation to Florida, clinched a playoff berth for Detroit for a 
			24th consecutive season.

			Blues 2, Blackhawks 1 
			 
			Dmitrij Jaskin scored on a powerplay late in the second period and 
			goaltender Jake Allen stopped 21 of 22 shots to lead St. Louis to a 
			2-1 win over Chicago. 
			 
			The win, coupled with Nashville's 4-2 loss to Minnesota, means the 
			Blues clinched the Central Division title for the second time in the 
			last four years. 
			 
			It also moved St. Louis into a tie for first place in the West with 
			idle Anaheim. Both teams have 107 points with one game to play.

			Wild 4, Predators 2 
			 
			Jason Pominville scored the tiebreaking goal at 17:57 of the third 
			period as Minnesota beat Nashville 4-2 at a sold-out Bridgestone 
			Arena, giving the Wild their 12th road win in a row. 
			 
			Jason Zucker scored twice and defenseman Marco Scandella also 
			tallied for the Wild.

			Avalanche 1, Jets 0 (shootout) 
			 
			Avs goaltender Reto Berra had a season-high 41 saves and stopped 
			both shooters in the shootout for his first career shutout as 
			Colorado beat Winnipeg 1-0. 
			 
			Ryan O'Reilly and Matt Duchene scored in the shootout to give 
			Colorado their second straight win.

			Lightning 4, Devils 3 (OT) 
			 
			Tyler Johnson scored twice, including a goal 1:22 into overtime, 
			giving Tampa Bay a 4-3 victory over New Jersey. 
			 
			Steven Stamkos and Nikita Nesterov also scored for Tampa Bay.

			Hurricanes 3, Flyers 1 
			 
			Defensemen Brett Bellemore and Ryan Murphy each scored a goal, and 
			goaltender Cam Ward stopped 27 of 28 shots to lead Carolina over 
			Philadelphia 3-1. 
			 
			Hurricanes center Jordan Staal added his sixth of the season, into 
			an empty net, to seal the win.

			Sharks 3, Oilers 1 
			 
			The San Jose Sharks scored two third-period goals to overcome beat 
			Edmonton 3-1 at Rexall Place. 
			 
			Bryan Lerg, Patrick Marleau and Matt Nieto scored for the Sharks, 
			while Nail Yakupov scored his 13th of the season for Edmonton.
