			Third baseman Aaron Hill smacked a two-out, two-run double to break 
			a tie in the top of the 12th inning, lifting Arizona to a 7-6 
			victory that extended San Francisco's losing streak to seven games. 
			 
			After blowing leads in the ninth and 10th innings, the Diamondbacks 
			(5-5) finally put the Giants away. 
			 
			The loss was the fourth in a row at home for the Giants, who became 
			the first team in the majors to lose eight games. The 3-8 start 
			matches the worst in the club's West Coast history.

			The Minnesota offense belted 14 hits in an 8-5 win against Kansas 
			City. 
			 
			Five Twins had at least two hits, including first baseman Kennys 
			Vargas, who blasted a two-run homer in the second inning to erase an 
			early 2-0 deficit. 
			 
			Twins left-hander Tommy Milone (2-0) earned the win, allowing three 
			runs on seven hits and three walks over 5-1/3 innings.

			First baseman Lucas Duda remained red-hot at the plate as the New 
			York Mets beat Miami 7-5 for their fifth consecutive victory, their 
			longest winning streak in nearly two years. 
			 
			Duda finished 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles as the Mets (7-3) 
			recovered from a three-run deficit. 
			 
			It was Duda's third successive game with at least two extra-base 
			hits.

			Nationals 5, Phillies 2 
			 
			Right-handed starter Doug Fister allowed just one earned run while 
			center fielder Michael A. Taylor hit a tie-breaking homer in the 
			fifth inning as Washington beat nemesis Cole Hamels and Philadelphia 
			5-2. 
			 
			Hamels (0-2) is now 15-9 in his career against the Nationals.

			Lackey recorded a strikeout in every inning and retired the last 
			seven hitters he faced.

			Right-hander Chris Archer allowed two hits and struck out 11 over 
			seven scoreless innings as Tampa Bay beat Toronto 4-2.
