Canadiens 3, Senators 2 (Overtime)
Alex Galchenyuk scored at 3:40 of the first overtime to give the
Montreal Canadiens a win over the Ottawa Senators.
The victory put Montreal up 2-0 in their Eastern Conference first
round series.
Goaltender Carey Price made 29 saves for Montreal while Andrew
Hammond stopped 37 shots for the Senators.
Max Pacioretty and defenseman P.K. Subban scored in regulation for
the Canadiens. Clarke MacArthur and defenseman Patrick Wiercioch
provided the goals for Ottawa.

Capitals 4, Islanders 3
Playing in his first career playoff game in place of an
"under-the-weather" Braden Holtby, German-born goaltender Philipp
Grubauer kept the Washington Capitals' hopes of a deep playoff run
alive, stopping 18 of 21 shots in a comeback victory over the New
York Islanders.
Trailing by a pair of goals late in the second period, the Capitals
received unanswered goals by Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and
Jason Chimera to pull out the victory and even the Eastern
Conference first-round series at 1-1.
Cal Clutterbuck, Ryan Strome and Kyle Okposo scored for the
Islanders, while goaltender Jaroslav Halak stopped 31 of 35 shots.
Game Three is on Sunday in New York.

Predators 6, Blackhawks 2
Overcoming a game-ending injury to their best player midway through
the second period, the Nashville Predators equaled their first round
series against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Predators defenseman Shea Weber left with a lower-body injury early
in the second period, but it didn't matter after the team blew the
game open with three goals in a 2:19 span late in the third period.
Craig Smith scored twice for Nashville and added an assist.
Patrick Sharp and Patrick Kane netted for Chicago.
Game Three is Sunday in Chicago.

Canucks 4, Flames 1
The Vancouver Canucks used a dominating first period to build a lead
then rode the goaltending of Eddie Lack to defeat the Calgary Flames
and even their Western Conference first round series 1-1.
Daniel Sedin and Chris Higgins scored on the power play, and Ronalds
Kenins scored for the Canucks. Alex Burrows had two assists as
Vancouver snapped a seven-game, home-ice losing streak in the
playoffs.
Defenseman Kris Russell scored Calgary's lone goal.
Lack stopped 22 shots. One of his best saves came in the third
period when he shot out his leg to stop Johnny Gaudreau. The save
prompted chants of "Eddie, Eddie" from the crowd.
The series now moves to Calgary for Game Three on Sunday. (Editing
