ZLS students compete in LCG&HS essay contest

[April 18, 2015]  LINCOLN - Recently, students in grades fifth through eighth at Zion Lutheran School participated in an essay contest hosted by the Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society. Students were asked to write on the subject, "My Favorite Quote by Abraham Lincoln".

The first place winners from in the contest were fifth-grader Olivia Thompson, sixth-grader Caroline Ahrends, seventh-place Noah Butler, and eighth-grader Madeline Steiner.

Though open to all, Zion Lutheran was the only school that participated in the contest. This Monday evening, the students will read their essays aloud at the April meeting of the LCG&HS.
