Obituary
Thomas Rock of Lincoln passed away on April 18, 2015
at 4:17 a.m. in his home. Thomas was born November
20, 1934 in Mason City, the son of Willie and Hauty
Jones Rock. He married Janice Danley on June 30,
1956 in New Holland; she survives in Lincoln.
He is also survived by his children, Gilberta (Jim)
Allen of Oxford, MS; Deborah (Daniel) Neuman of
Charlotte, NC; Valerie (Mark) Barton of Brandon, MS;
and William Alan (Shelley) Rock of Bossier City, LA;
his brother Bill (Cheryl) Rock of Center, KY; his
sister, Lillie Finn of Campbellsville, KY;
Sister–in-law Bernice Rock of Springfield; six
grandchildren: Ryan Allen, Rachel Allen, Kaitlyn
Barton, Addison Barton, Elles Rock, and Mary Claire
Rock.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his
brothers, Dean and Carroll; and his sister-in-law
Barbara Rock.
Thomas was a long time member of Lincoln Southern
Baptist Church and he was also a member of The
Railsplitter Antique Auto Club. Above all else,
Thomas loved his family; and he will be sorely
missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to have
met him.

A celebration of Thomas’ life will be held at 10:00
a.m. on Wednesday April 22, 2015 at Lincoln Southern
Baptist Church. A visitation will be held from 5:00
p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 21, 2015 at
Lincoln Southern Baptist Church. Burial at Richmond
Grove Cemetery will follow services. Memorial
donations may be made in Thomas’ name to the Lincoln
Southern Baptist Church, Memorial Home Hospice
Springfield, or World Outreach Ministries. Services
are entrusted with Frick-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln.
