							McLean -- Alice M. Strubhar, 92, passed away on 
							Thursday, April 16, 2015, at 9:30 p.m. at Sugar 
							Creek Alzheimer's Care Center in Normal. 
							 
							Funeral Services for Alice will be held on Monday, 
							April 20, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at Ebenezer United 
							Methodist Church in rural McLean. Rev. Rob Roy will 
							officiate. 
							 
							Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2015 
							from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Quiram-Peasley 
							Funeral Home at 202 NW Vine St. in Atlanta. 
							 
							Burial will be in Funks Grove Cemetery in McLean. 
							 
							Alice M. Schertz was born September 27, 1922 in 
							Danvers, the daughter of Ransom and Caroline Deal 
							Schertz. She married John G. Strubhar on June 2, 
							1946 in Danvers. He preceded her in death on August 
							15, 1992. 
							 
							Mrs. Strubhar is survived by her children: Randall 
							L. (Linda) Strubhar of McLean, J. Michael (Joyce) 
							Strubhar of McLean and Valerie J. (Tom) Allison of 
							Bloomington; one sister: Carolyn (Bob) Kaufman of 
							Danvers; seven grandchildren: Curt (Susan) Strubhar, 
							Sean (Gina) Strubhar, Jeremy (Sarah) Strubhar, 
							Carrie (Mark Bartos) Welch, Amber (Mike) Johnson, 
							Travis Strubhar and Trevor Strubhar; and seven 
							great-grandchildren: Andy, Ellie, Hannah, Audrey, 
							Allison, Lilah and Ava.  | 
							
							 
                
                  
							Alice was preceded in death by her husband, one 
							infant grandson, two brothers and three sisters. 
							 
							Alice was a 1940 graduate of Danvers High School. 
							She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist 
							Church. She loved her church and family. 
							 
							The family expresses great gratitude for the caring 
							and loving staff of Sugar Creek Alzheimer's Care 
							Center and Hospice Compassus. 
							 
							Memorials may be made to Ebenezer Church, Ebenezer 
							Ladies' Aid, American Red Cross or Alzheimer's 
							Association. 
							 
							Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley 
							Funeral Home of Atlanta.
