Lincoln Heat 10U takes two from Hopedale

[April 23, 2015]  LINCOLN - The Lincoln heat 10U played a double-header against Hopedale on Tuesday evening and walked away with two solid wins.

Lincoln Heat 10U survives Hopedale rally, escapes with 6-4 victory in game one

Hopedale was unable to fight back from the big hole it dug itself into against Lincoln Heat 10U, but still lost 6-4 after falling behind by four runs in the fourth inning.

Hopedale scored one run in the fifth on a groundout still, Hopedale couldn't draw even.

Andy Knox racked up two RBIs on one hit for Lincoln Heat 10U. He doubled in the third inning.

Jaden Leadly handled Hopedale's lineup with ease, racking up 12 strikeouts. Jaden allowed three earned runs on three hits and six walks over 5 1/3 innings.
 


The top of the first saw Hopedale take an early lead, 2-0. The Hopedale attack began with a double, a stolen base then single. Hopedale pushed more runs across when scored on a walk.

After posting one run in the first, Lincoln Heat 10U again scored one in the fourth. In the first, Lincoln Heat 10U scored on an RBI single by Wyatt Mammen, bringing home Wyatt O’Donoghue.

The game was never in doubt after the third, as Lincoln Heat 10U scored four runs on a two-run double by Andy Knox, an RBI single by Trey Schilling, and a RBI by Ryan O’Donoghue.

Early lead gives Lincoln Heat 10U victory over Hopedale, 8-2 in game two

Lincoln Heat 10U jumped out to an early lead on Hopedale and captured an 8-2 victory on Tuesday at Lincoln.

With eight runs in the first three innings, Lincoln Heat 10U left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

An RBI single by Jaden Leadly, a walk by Wyatt Mammen, and a walk by Ryan O’Donoghue during the first inning and an RBI double by Michael Lucas and a two-run single by Wyatt O’Donoghue in the second inning helped Lincoln Heat 10U put some runs on the board early.
Jaden Leadly was solid at the plate for Lincoln Heat 10U. Jaden went 2-2, drove in one and scored one run.

Trey Schilling put together a nice outing. Hopedale managed just one hit off of Schilling, who allowed two earned runs, walked five and struck out nine during his four innings of work.

Lincoln Heat 10U added three more runs in the bottom of the third. Wyatt Mammen kicked things off with a single, scoring Darren Stevens. That was followed up by Trey Schilling’s single, bringing home Wyatt Mammen. Lincoln Heat 10U travels to Deer Creek-Mackinaw on Thursday.
