Mets 6, Braves 3
New York won a franchise record-tying 11th game in a row as second
baseman Daniel Murphy had four RBIs in support of 41-year-old
right-hander Bartolo Colon in the victory over Atlanta at their Citi
Field home.
The Mets, who previously won 11 straight in 1990, improved to a
Major League Baseball best 13-3.
"I feel like in each ballgame, no matter what happens, I feel like
somebody's going to come through, and it's a really cool feeling to
have," said Murphy.
Colon became the fourth pitcher 40 years or older in 80 years --
following 300-game winners Phil Niekro, Nolan Ryan and Roger Clemens
-- to win his first four starts of the season.
The Dominican allowed three runs on seven hits in six innings.

Cardinals 4, Nationals 1
First baseman Matt Adams' sixth-inning RBI single proved to be the
difference Thursday in a pitchers' duel as St. Louis beat Washington
in the rubber game of a closely contested series.
The Cardinals added a pair of insurance runs in the eighth.
St. Louis starter Michael Wacha improved to 3-0, with closer Trevor
Rosenthal notching his sixth save. Washington starter Max Scherzer
dropped to 1-2.

Brewers 4, Reds 2
Jean Segura drove in the go-ahead run in the seventh inning and Ryan
Braun scored an insurance run on an eighth-inning wild pitch as
Milwaukee snapped an eight-game losing streak.
Brewers starter Kyle Lohse (1-3) looked more like himself after
opening the season with three dismal starts as he gave up three hits
and a walk in seven innings.
In just his second start since undergoing elbow surgery in
September, visiting starter Homer Bailey allowed two runs, seven
hits and a walk with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.

Marlins 9, Phillies 0
Miami broke it open with four runs each in the fourth and sixth
innings to cruise to its biggest victory margin of the season.
The visitors ended Phillies starter Dustin McGowan's day with a
one-out, two-run single by shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria in the
fourth and tacked on two runs later in the inning on a single by
third baseman Martin Prado.
Miami added four runs in the sixth, getting a two-run homer from
Giancarlo Stanton on the back of a two-run double from Prado, both
off Phillies reliever Justin DeFratus.
Prado went 3-for-5 with four RBIs, while Hechavarria was 4-for-4
with two runs and three RBIs.

Pirates 5, Cubs 4
Gregory Polanco drove in a pair of runs lead Pittsburgh to a come
from behind home victory.
Polanco, the Pirates' center fielder, drove in the go-ahead run in
the seventh inning after third baseman Josh Harrison doubled and
pinch-hitter Corey Hart was intentionally walked.

Rockies 2, Padres 1
Colorado parlayed a strong start by Jordan Lyles and another home
run by Corey Dickerson into a split of the four-game series at Coors
Field as San Diego lost back-to-back games for the first time this
season.
Lyles worked 6 2/3 innings and joined Kyle Kendrick as the only
Rockies starters to reach the seventh this season.
Dickerson led off the fifth with a homer for his third home run in
two days and fifth of the season, putting the Rockies ahead 2-1.

Yankees 2, Tigers 1
New York finished off a 7-3 road trip with a 2-1 win over Detroit at
Comerica Park.
Jacoby Ellsbury provided the spark, scoring both Yankee runs on a
day when the winners had just three hits.
It was New York's third straight victory and sixth in seven games.
The Yankees (9-7) return home to play a three-game showdown against
the National League-leading Mets (13-3).
Reliever Dellin Betances (3-0) retired all four batters he faced to
get the victory in relief of starter Masahiro Tanaka. Andrew Miller
pitched the ninth for his sixth save.

Royals 3, White Sox 2 (13 innings)
Eric Hosmer delivered a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the 13th
inning, lifting the Kansas City Royals to a victory over the Chicago
White Sox.
Hosmer's game-winning hit scored Jarrod Dyson from first base and
improved the Royals' American League-best record to 12-4.
Kansas City reliever Wade Davis shut down the White Sox (6-9) in the
bottom of the 13th inning to earn his fourth save of the season.

Giants 3, Dodgers 2 (10 innings)
Justin Maxwell lined a run-scoring single to left field with one out
in the top of the 10th inning, allowing the San Francisco Giants to
edge the Los Angeles Dodgers and cap a three-game series sweep.
The sweep was the Giants' (7-10) first of the season and came after
they entered the series in last place in the National League West
with a 4-10 record.
Adrian Gonzalez hit his sixth home run of the season for the Dodgers
(9-6).

Angels 2, A's 0
Nick Tropeano and three relievers combined for a eight-hitter in the
Los Angeles Angels' win over the Oakland A's.
Tropeano tossed six innings while Kole Calhoun hit a two-run homer
that provided all the offense in the game for the Angels (7-9).
Oakland fell to 8-9.

Cardinals 4, Nationals 1
Matt Adams' sixth-inning RBI single proved to be the difference in a
pitchers' duel as the St. Louis Cardinals picked up a victory over
the Washington Nationals.
Adams' hit made it 2-1, and pinch-hitter Mark Reynolds added an RBI
double in the eighth.
Michael Wacha (3-0) tossed seven innings to get the win for the
Cardinals (10-4) and beat Washington (7-9) pitcher Max Scherzer.

Rockies 2, Padres 1
The Colorado Rockies parlayed a strong start by Jordan Lyles,
shutdown relief pitching and another home run by Corey Dickerson
into a win over the San Diego Padres.
Dickerson led off the fifth with a first-pitch homer. It was his
third homer in two days -- his fifth of the season -- and put the
Rockies (9-7) ahead 2-1.
The Padres fell to 10-7.

Blue Jays 7, Orioles 6
Drew Hutchison allowed two runs in eight innings, and third baseman
Josh Donaldson hit a two-run homer as the Toronto Blue Jays held on
to defeat the Baltimore Orioles and sweep a three-game series.
Manny Machado drove in four runs with two home runs for the Orioles
(7-9) but they lost their fourth straight.
Toronto improved to 10-7.

Rays 2, Red Sox 1
The Tampa Bay Rays got strong pitching from Jake Odorizzi in their
first walk-off victory this year, beating the Boston Red Sox in the
ninth inning on an RBI single by catcher Rene Rivera.
Odorizzi gave up three hits in 6 2/3 innings for the Rays (8-8)
while Boston (9-7) pitcher Clay Buchholz struck out 10 in six
