Dustin Lynch headlines grandstand show at Logan County Fair

[April 24, 2015]  LINCOLN - Contemporary country music new comer Dustin Lynch will headline this year’s Grandstand show at the Logan County Fair.

Lynch whose recent single “Hell of a Night” is currently moving up on the Billboard charts. The show will start at 7:30 with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 in the Grandstand at the Logan County Fair. Local favorite Brushville will again open the show.

Lynch, 29, who co-wrote his first single “Cowboys and Angels” became a modern day country classic, ending the year as one of Billboard’s Top 5 Country Songs of 2012. He quickly followed with “She Cranks My Tractor” which reached #1 on GAC’s Top 20 Country Countdown and has sold over 100,000 copies.

The Broken Bow Records artist combines traditional influence with an edgy intensity that makes him one of today’s most successful young artists.

Brushville is no stranger to the central Illinois music fans and was the opening act at the 2014 Logan County Fair grandstand act. Brushville is being sought out by the biggest and best events that the industry has to offer, including Chicago’s Country Music festival, Country Fest and Country Thunder in Wisconsin.

Brushville won the Battle for the Saddle at Nashville, Tennessee’s legendary Wildhorse Saloon in early 2012. Out of the over 300 national bands that entered, Brushville came out on top and was selected the winner by a panel of top industry professionals including Michael Knox who is the one credited with “discovering” talents such as Jason Aldean, John Rich and Gretchen Wilson. Brushville also has a Lincoln connection with Kirk Ellis playing guitar and fiddle.
