Obituary
George O. Malone ,83, passed away on April 18, 2015
at his home in Springfield, at 8:37 a.m.
George was born on July 28, 1931 in Kinderhook; son
of George Edward and Lillie Grimsley Malone. He
married Wanda Marie Flynn on March 11, 1956 in
Springfield. She preceded him in death on February
18, 1998.
Surviving George are his children: Carmen Bruner of
Springfield; Georgia (Norman) Heath of Mount
Pulaski; George (Martha) Malone of Galena, MO;
Shelly Malone of Springfield; Denice Miner of
Lincoln; Roy (Mary) Malone of Springfield; Kathleen
Malone of Statesboro, GA; Jackie (Nicolas) Ramirez
of Springfield; Kerry (Michelle) Malone of Mount
Pulaski; 22 grandchildren; 22 Great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister
Helen Hall, brother-in-law Ross Hall, and a
significant other of 13 years, Lola Crowell. |
George worked in pest control for the State of
Illinois and proudly served in the U. S. Navy from
1950- 1952.
Services for George will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday
April 22, 2015 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Mount. Pulaski with Pastor Kenneth Sanders
officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m.
Tuesday April 21, 2015 also at the funeral home.
Burial at Mount Pulaski Cemetery will follow
services. Memorials may be made to Memorial Home
Hospice.
