 Orioles 18, Red Sox 7
Delmon Young had three hits and five RBIs, Bud Norris pitched into
the seventh inning and Baltimore battered Boston 18-7.
Chris Davis added three hits, including his fourth home run of the
season and a two-run double, as the Orioles took the deciding
contest of the three-game series.
Jimmy Paredes tripled, doubled and singled to drive in three runs as
part of Baltimore's 20-hit attack.
Norris (1-2), who began the day with a 17.42 ERA, allowed three runs
on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings.

Rays 5, Blue Jays 1
Chris Archer made his fourth consecutive start without giving up an
earned run and Brandon Guyer hit a home run to lift Tampa Bay.
Archer struck out seven and gave up just two hits in seven innings
to improve to 3-2. The Rays won their fifth straight game and are in
first place in the American League East.

Cubs 5, Reds 2
Miguel Montero homered and Jake Arrieta pitched six solid innings,
lifting Chicago to their best start since 2008.
Montero went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs for the Cubs (10-7),
who swept the abbreviated two-game series. Saturday's game was
postponed due to rain.
Arrieta (3-1) survived a rough patch in the middle innings and
allowed two earned runs on four hits in six innings. Todd Frazier
hit his fifth homer for Cincinnati.

Marlins 6, Nationals 2
Adeiny Hechavarria drilled a three-run triple as Miami won its fifth
straight game.
Hechavarria extended his hitting streak to nine games and had his
second consecutive three-RBI game. Washington lost its fifth
straight.

Tigers 8, Indians 6
Miguel Cabrera hit a two-run homer and J.D. Martinez added a two-run
double while Detroit left-hander Kyle Lobstein stymied Cleveland on
six hits over seven innings.
Lobstein (2-1) struggled through five innings in a win over
Cleveland earlier this month but worked more from ahead in the count
this time, walking two and striking out four, leaving with a 7-3
lead.

Phillies 5, Braves 4
Ryan Howard hit his second homer in as many games and third in his
last five as Philadelphia beat Atlanta.
The Phillies scored a run in the fifth inning to break a 3-3 tie,
and again in the seventh inning to get an insurance run.

White Sox 3, Royals 2 (completion of game)
Avisail Garcia singled home the game-winning run in the bottom of
the ninth inning to lift Chicago over Kansas City in a game that had
been suspended two days earlier.

White Sox 5, Royals 3
Third baseman Conor Gillaspie drove in two runs with a go-ahead
single, and the White Sox scored all of their runs in the sixth
inning and beat Kansas City.

Astros 7, A's 6
Designated hitter Evan Gattis hit a two-run double in the ninth
inning, and the Houston Astros rallied for victory and their first
series sweep of the Oakland A's in franchise history. It was the
fourth straight loss for Oakland.

Padres 3, Dodgers 1
Catcher Derek Norris drove in two runs with a double and a solo
homer and the San Diego Padres snapped a four-game skid with victory
over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Right-handed starter Brandon Morrow held the Dodgers to one run on
five hits over seven innings.

Pirates 8, Diamondbacks 0
Pittsburgh second baseman Neil Walker had three hits and two RBIs
and the Pirates beat Arizona, completing a three-game sweep over the
Diamondbacks.

Brewers 6, Cardinals 3
Adam Lind homered and Gerardo Parra had two extra-base hits as the
Milwaukee Brewers avoided a sweep with a win over the St. Louis
Cardinals.

Rangers 5, Angels 4 (11 innings)
Leonys Martin hit his first home run of the season to lead a two-run
rally that gave the Texas Rangers a win over the Los Angeles Angels
in 11 innings. The Angels had 15 hits, matching their season high.

Twins 4, Mariners 2 (11 innings)
Minnesota first baseman Joe Mauer capped off a 3-for-5 game with the
game-winning triple in the top of the 11th inning as the Twins beat
the Seattle Mariners.

Yankees 6, Mets 4
Designated hitter Alex Rodriguez hit his 659th career home run and
reached base three times as the New York Yankees defeated the New
York Mets.
Rodriguez moved to within one of Hall of Famer Willie Mays with a
solo home run in the first inning off Mets starter Jon Niese.
