NHL notebook: Blackhawks G Crawford regains starting spot

Chicago goalie Corey Crawford will be back in net when the Blackhawks face the Minnesota Wild in the teams' Central Division Championship series later this week.

Crawford relieved Scott Darling in Game 6 against Nashville and sparked the Blackhawks as they clinched their first-round playoff series against the Predators.

Darling had started four of six games against Nashville.

In his last start, Crawford gave up six goals to the Predators in Game 2 of their series.

--The New York Rangers announced that forward Mats Zuccarello will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering an upper-body injury.

The New York Post reports Zuccarello has a concussion.

Zuccarello was injured in the first period of Saturday's Game 5 series-clinching win against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

James Sheppard, who was acquired from San Jose at the deadline, likely will replace Zuccarello.

-- Shea Weber, star defenseman for the Nashville Predators, is recovering from surgery to repair a subluxed kneecap and is expected to be healthy in 4-6 weeks, the team said.

Weber was injured in Game 2 of Nashville's 4-2 series loss against the Chicago Blackhawks and did not play the rest of the series.

--NHL Hall of Fame defenseman Marcel Pronovost died Sunday. He was 84.

The former Detroit Red Wings star won the Stanley Cup four times while playing in the Motor City. He won a fifth title while a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

--The St. Louis Blues assigned forward Ty Rattie and goaltender Niklas Lundstrom to their AHL affiliate, Chicago Wolves.

The Wolves are tied 1-1 in their Western Conference quarterfinals series against the Utica Comets. Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday in Utica.

--The Pittsburgh Penguins assigned their top prospect, Oskar Sundqvist, to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.

The 21-year-old center was the Penguins' third-round selection in 2012.
