			- Leslie August Last, 80 of Lincoln, passed away at 1:03 a.m. 
			Monday, April 27, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

							10 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Lincoln Christian Church 
							Visitation with the family will 
							immediately follow the Memorial Service.

							Obituary 
							 
							Leslie August Last, 80 of Lincoln, passed away at 
							1:03 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 at Memorial Medical 
							Center, Springfield. 
							 
							Les was born March 12, 1935 in New Holland, IL, the 
							son of Martin and Edith Horn Last. He married Evelyn 
							Merriett January 16, 1955 in Springfield, IL at the 
							West Side Christian Church. She survives in Lincoln. 
							 
							Les is also survived by two daughters: Leanna 
							(Anthony) Culp of Lincoln; Lavonna (Robert) Boyd of 
							Garland, TX; grandchildren: Kane Blaum of Lincoln; 
							Shasta (Brian) Thomson of Macomb, IL; Luke (Betsy) 
							Boyd of Lincoln and Karley Boyd of Garland, TX; six 
							great grandchildren; one sister: Violet Robinson of 
							Lincoln and a sister-in-law: Doris Last of 
							Hartsburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, 
							a sister: Barbara Steffens; and a brother: Dana 
							Last. 
							 
							He retired after 35 years as a general contractor; 
							then worked at City Code Enforcement Officer for 15 
							years retiring five years ago. Les was a member of 
							Lincoln Christian Church, served as deacon, Sunday 
							school teacher, and was in the rotation for setting 
							up communion. Les was an avid St. Louis Cardinals 
							fan. He enjoyed watching Big 10 basketball games and 
							was very particular with his cars. He loved going on 
							family vacations and especially enjoyed his Sunday 
							dinners with his family.  | 
							
							 
                    
					  
							Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. 
							Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Lincoln Christian Church 
							with Ron Otto officiating. Visitation with the 
							family will immediately follow the service. 
							 
							Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln at a 
							later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be 
							given in his name to Little Galilee Camp or Lincoln 
							Christian Church. All arrangements were entrusted to 
							Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
