[August 12, 2015]  SPRINGFIELD - Representative Tim Butler (R-Springfield) released the statement below following USDA’s approval to designate 87 counties in Illinois eligible to receive federal assistance as a result of heavy rainfall and flooding:

“Illinois farmers were faced with record amounts of rainfall and flooding this year which left them with severe storm damage. The announcement by the federal government to offer assistance to farmers in my district which includes Logan, Menard, Sangamon, and Tazewell counties will not go unnoticed. I am pleased Governor Rauner and the USDA is offering assistance to farmers who need help during this difficult situation.”
