Helen May Hubner 89, of Lincoln, passed away
Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at St. Clara's Manor,
Lincoln.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on
Friday, August 14, 2015, at Holland Barry & Bennett
Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow Friday,
August 14, 2015, at 12 Noon at Atlanta Cemetery,
Atlanta.
Helen was born February 17, 1926, in Lincoln, the
daughter of Robert and Dorothy (McGown) Ingram. She
married Julius Hubner in August of 1943. He preceded
her in death on December 28, 1980. Together, they
celebrated 36 years of marriage.
Helen was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian
Church in Lincoln where she served in their women's
ministries. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed
playing Bingo.
Surviving are her son Thomas (Debra) Hubner and
daughter Carolyne Britton both of Lincoln, four
grandchildren; Jennifer (Jay) Carlson of Lincoln,
Chenille Hubner of Lincoln, Barbara Boch (Carroll)
of Middletown, and John Britton (Teresa) of Phoenix,
AZ; three great-grandsons; three
great-granddaughters; one great-great-grandson; two
great great granddaughters; her sisters JoAnne Awe
and Marilyn Tisdale both of Lincoln, and several
nieces and nephews. |
She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband, her daughter Pam Hubner, three brothers,
one sister, and three nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the First
Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Lincoln and will be
accepted at the funeral home.
