Obituary
Wilma T. Harnacke passed away August 12, 2015, in
Emden.
She was born to William Towles and Ruby Towles Gandy
(Mosier) November 14, 1925, in Logan County.
She married Harold W. Harnacke February 2, 1947, in
New Holland, IL.
Mrs. Harnacke was a clerk at Kroger’s for 20 years.
She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian
Church and a member of the Cumberland Women’s group
in Lincoln, co-founder of the Share Food Program in
New Holland, and a member of the Farm Bureau.
Surviving are her children Kenny (Carla) Harnacke of
New Holland, Ladonna (Earl) Gass of Emden, Alan
(Linda) Harnacke of Elkhorn, WI., and Quint (Linda)
Harnacke of New Holland. Also surviving are
daughter-in-law June Harnacke, nine grandchildren,
four step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, six
step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold
Harnacke, son Jerry Harnacke, one brother, Edward
Towles, and three sisters; Rosie Landon, Yvonne
Snider and Edna Sommers. |
Services for Wilma will be held at the First
Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Saturday, August 15,
2015, with visitation from 9-11 a.m. Funeral to
follow visitation services at 11 a.m. Pastor Steven
Blaum and Pastor Joe Snider will be officiating.
Burial will be at Richmond Grove Cemetery.
Memorials may go to First Cumberland Presbyterian
Church, Emden Rescue or Whistlestop Library.
