Blue Jays 3, Yankees 1
Jose Bautista hit a two-run homer while Drew Hutchison pitched into
the seventh inning as the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the New York
Yankees.
The Blue Jays (65-54) moved back to within 1/2 a game of the
first-place Yankees (64-52) in the American League East.
Hutchison (12-2) allowed three hits, one walk and one run in 6-2/3
innings. The right-hander struck out five.
The only run Hutchison allowed came on a home run by Yankees center
fielder Jacoby Ellsbury in the sixth.

Orioles 18, Athletics 2
Baltimore's Gerardo Parra tied a career-high with five hits,
including a home run and three RBIs, as the Orioles pounded the
Oakland Athletics.
Center fielder Adam Jones also had two homers for Baltimore.
Baltimore left-hander Wei-Yin Chen (7-6) allowed two runs on eight
hits with no walks and seven strikeouts over six innings.

Braves 2, Diamondbacks 1 (10 innings)
The Atlanta Braves got a dramatic 2-1 walk-off victory over the
Arizona Diamondbacks when Cameron Maybin homered leading off the
10th inning.
Shelby Miller, who did not allow a hit until the eighth inning, got
a no-decision despite a two-hit effort with 10 strikeouts and now
has gone 16 starts without a victory.

Twins 4, Indians 1
Minnesota Twins left-hander Tommy Milone picked up his first victory
in more than a month as the Twins beat the Cleveland Indians.
Catcher Kurt Suzuki drove in two runs.
Twins closer Glen Perkins pitched a scoreless ninth inning for his
league-leading 31st save of the season.

White Sox 3, Cubs 1
Chris Sale threw seven scoreless innings and tied a career high with
15 strikeouts to lead the Chicago White Sox in a dominant pitching
performance against the Chicago Cubs.

Pirates 8, Mets 1
Third baseman Aramis Ramirez had four hits, including an RBI single
during a four-run seventh inning that helped the Pittsburgh Pirates
to an 8-1 win over the New York Mets.
The Pirates (69-46) extended their lead over the Chicago Cubs in the
National League wild card standings to 1-1/2 games.
New York's lead over the Washington Nationals in the National League
East fell to four games.
Ramirez finished 4-for-5 with three RBIs.

Brewers 6, Phillies 1
Ryan Braun's grand slam highlighted a five-RBI performance while
rookie Taylor Jungmann continued his strong debut season with nine
strikeouts in 6-1/3 innings as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the
Philadelphia Phillies.
Braun connected off Phillies starter Aaron Harang on a 1-1 pitch to
cap a five-run fifth inning.
Jungmann improved to 7-4 and lowered his ERA to 2.23.

Marlins 6, Cardinals 4
A botched double play ball by second baseman Kolten Wong led to four
unearned runs in the top of the fifth inning that put Miami ahead in
their victory over St. Louis.
Wong allowed a hard grounder by catcher Jeff Mathis to go through
his legs with shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria on first and none out.
Chris Narveson (1-0), who relieved starter David Phelps in the
third, allowed just one hit and one run in 2-2/3 innings, striking
out two.
Martinez (12-5) gave up seven hits and five runs, just one earned,
in five innings with no walks and five strikeouts.

Astros 6, Tigers 5
Second baseman Jose Altuve drilled the first pitch from reliever
Alex Wilson into center field to deliver the Houston Astros a 6-5
walk-off win over the Detroit Tigers.

Rangers 5, Rays 3
Third baseman Adrian Beltre had a home run and two RBIs, and four
Texas Rangers relievers helped ensure right-hander Yovani Gallardo
was a winner as the Rangers beat Tampa Bay.
Beltre was 1-for-3 with a sacrifice fly and a home run that broke a
3-3 tie in the third. Left fielder Ryan Strausborger was 3-for-4,
including his first career home run.
Center fielder Delino DeShields and right fielder Shin-Soo Choo also
had RBIs for Texas.

Giants 5, Nationals 0
Left-hander Madison Bumgarner contributed a double and a home run to
his 14th victory of the season as the San Francisco Giants completed
a 5-0 win over the Washington Nationals.
Bumgarner (14-6) walked one and struck out a career-best-tying
struck out 14.
Bumgarner then capped the scoring in the seventh with a solo homer
against Nationals reliever Casey Janssen.

Mariners 10, Red Sox 8 (12 innings)
Catcher Mike Zunino delivered the go-ahead RBI-single in the 12th
inning before third baseman Kyle Seager drove in another run as the
Seattle Mariners completed a 10-8 win over the Boston Red Sox.
Mariners left fielder Franklin Gutierrez blasted two home runs in
the first three innings, including a three-run bomb in the third,
and drove in four runs.

Dodgers 2, Reds 1
Center fielder Joc Pederson and right-hander Zack Greinke hit
successive solo home runs to give the Los Angeles Dodgers a 2-1
victory over the Cincinnati Reds.
The Dodgers maintained their 2-1/2-game lead over the second-place
San Francisco Giants in the National League West.
Greinke (13-2) amassed eight strikeouts and yielded just one walk in
his seven innings, while allowing one run on six hits.
Pederson and Greinke hit their homers in the bottom of the fifth
inning.

Rockies 5, Padres 0
Left-hander Chris Rusin was masterful in a complete game performance
as the Rockies beat the San Diego Padres 5-0.
Rusin (4-5), whose previous career-high was seven innings, gave up
five singles with one walk and four strikeouts.

Royals 4, Angels 3 (10 innings)
Kendrys Morales drove in the winning run with a walk-off single in
the 10th inning as the Kansas City Royals topped the Los Angeles
Angels.
Trevor Gott, the fourth Angels pitcher, took the loss, while Kelvin
Herrera, who worked a flawless 10th earned the victory.
Right fielder Kole Calhoun homered off Wade Davis in the eighth to
put the Angels ahead 3-2.
Closer Huston Street could not hold the lead, however. He walked the
bases loaded in the ninth and right fielder Alex Rios' sacrifice fly
scored Eric Hosmer to tie the game.
