Chalk Art returns to downtown Lincoln

LINCOLN
- For the fifth year, there will be chalk art opportunities offered
in downtown Lincoln during the Balloon Festival. The chalk art
project is hosted by the city of Lincoln and the Lincoln Park
District. Artists of all ages and level of ability are invited to
reserve a space and create an artistic statement in the downtown
area.

This year, while the balloon festival will be held at the Logan
County Airport, the Festival Shuttles will make stops in the
downtown area allowing festival goers to do some shopping and enjoy
the sites in the downtown area.
The city and Park District encourage everyone interested to come and
be a part of this project, and help to enhance the visitor
experience to the downtown area.
To participate in this event, please register by Sunday August 23rd.

Competed registration forms should be turned in at the Lincoln Park District.
Registration will cost $10 per pre-measured space, and multiple spaces may be
purchased. Sidewalk Chalk and hairspray for setting the artwork will be provided
for each participant.
Art creation day will be Thursday, August 27 from Noon to 8 p.m.
Sidewalk Chalk is the only medium to be used in the drawings. NO CRAYONS OR
MARKERS.
