The Reds received hard-throwing minor league pitcher Stephen
Johnson in exchange for Byrd, the teams confirmed.

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed right-hander Jeremy Hellickson
on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring and
recalled right-hander Chase Anderson from Triple-A Reno.
Hellickson (9-8, 4.60 ERA) suffered cramping during his start
Monday, but he felt better Tuesday and had been hopeful of
making his next start Saturday night in Cincinnati.

The Detroit Tigers placed starting pitchers Daniel Norris and
Anibal Sanchez on the 15-day disabled list.
Norris, a left-hander, had been expected to go on the DL after
he left his start Wednesday after 4 1/3 innings due to a right
oblique strain. The right-handed Sanchez (10-10, 4.99 ERA) has a
