[August 21, 2015]  LINCOLN - Louise "Sis" Dehner, 102, of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, at her caregiver's home. Funeral arrangements are pending at Peasley Funeral Home.

Visitation:  From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 21, at Peasley Funeral Home.

A Rosary Service will be held 30 minutes prior to visitation at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Mass of Christian Burial:  10 a.m. on Saturday, at Holy Family Catholic Church

Obituary

Louise J. "Sis" Dehner, 102, passed away at 5:49 a.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at her caregiver's home in Lincoln.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Louise will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Jeffrey G. Laible officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2015, at Peasley Funeral Home. A Rosary Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. prior to the visitation at the funeral home.

Louise Jean "Sis" Dehner was born on May 31, 1913, the daughter of George G. and Leona P. Parker Dehner.

Sis is survived by two nieces: Nancy A. Mathews and Valerie J. (Gary Crawford) Dehner and one nephew: Gerald G. (Susan) Dehner; one nephew - in - law Tom Tiffany of Lincoln; four great-nieces; four great-nephews; five great-great-nieces; five great-great-nephews; and two great-great-great-nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: George J. Dehner; and one niece: Betty Tiffany.

Funeral Director

Sis graduated from Lincoln High School and attended one year of business college. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, having first been a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was a member of Holy Family Society, numerous bridge clubs and an American Red Cross volunteer for many, many years. Sis worked on the Election Board for over 70 years. She was an extensive and adventurous world traveler, venturing into a hot air balloon for the first time at 85 years of age. She was an avid gardener of both flowers and produce. Sis loved attending LCHS Railer boys' basketball games and was a great supporter of the booster club. She was also a great supporter of the Oasis. Additionally, Sis loved cooking and recipe books, sewing, crocheting, and knitting.

The family extends special gratitude to Eleanor Feldman and Monica Ritchhart, along with Dr. Zwilling, for the care they gave Sis.

Memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church, The Oasis, or LCHS Boys' Basketball program.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home.
