The Green Bay Packers let a 19-9 lead slip away in a 24-19 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in a preseason game in Pittsburgh on Sunday, but the Packers may have suffered a more significant loss when wide receiver Jordy Nelson went down with a knee injury.

The preliminary diagnosis for Nelson, a Pro Bowl selection last season, was that he tore his ACL, although the team is awaiting the results of an MRI exam to confirm the extent of the injury.

Backup quarterback Landry Jones threw two fourth-quarter touchdown passes to lead the Steelers' rally. He finished 10-for-19 for 172 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Pittsburgh starter Ben Roethlisberger was 10-for-14 for 100 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions.

Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers complete four of five passes for 57 yards in his limited playing time, but he was also sacked by James Harrison for a safety in the first period.

Pittsburgh Pro Bowl center Maurkice Pouncey left with a left ankle injury in the first quarter and did not return.

Titans 27, Rams 14

It was not a great day for the new quarterbacks on either team in this game in Nashville, Tenn.

Rookie Marcus Mariota, who started for the Titans, completed 5 of 8 passes for 59, but managed just three points in the three possessions he played. Zach Mettenberg and Alex Tanney each was 7-for-9 with a touchdown pass for the Titans.

St. Louis quarterback Nick Foles, who was acquired in a trade with Philadelphia, threw an interception that was returned 24 yards by Perrish Cox for the game's first touchdown. Foles completed just three of seven passes for 18 yards.

Case Keenum and Sean Mannion threw touchdown passes for the Rams.

49ers 23, Cowboys 6

Dallas scored the game's only offensive touchdown, but still lost the game decisively at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

The 49ers scored two touchdowns - one on Mike Purcell's 37-yard interception return in the second quarter and the other on a blocked kick recovered in the end zone by Quinton Patton in the end zone in the fourth quarter.

Four quarterbacks played for the Cowboys, but starter Tony Romo attempted just one pass, completing it for minus 1 yard.

San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick completed just two of five passes for 13 yards.
