to host free seminar on men's urologic health

SPRINGFIELD
- Memorial Medical Center will host a free seminar on urologic health
for men at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, in the Memorial Center for
Learning and Innovation.

The two-hour program will feature Dr. David Leiber, a Springfield
Clinic urologist, and Dr. Kevin McVary, an SIU HealthCare urologist.
The seminar, “Urologic Health: What Every Man Should Know,” is open
to men and women.
Participants will learn about prevention, evaluation, diagnosis and
treatment of the following conditions: prostate cancer, urination
problems, benign prostatic hyperplasia (a noncancerous enlargement
of the prostate gland) and erectile dysfunction. They will also be
able to try out the da Vinci robotic surgical system. Door prizes
and light refreshments will be available.
The Memorial Center for Learning and Innovation is at 228 W. Miller
St., at the southeast corner of Rutledge and Miller streets. Free
parking is available on the first two levels of the parking garage
south of the center at Rutledge and Carpenter streets.
