Obituary
Iva Mae Blaum, 95, of Lincoln, passed away at 8:07
a.m. on August 20, 2015 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.
Iva Mae was born on May 10, 1920, in Middletown, the
daughter of Newton P. Snyder and Beulah Gierty. She
was married to Arthur B. Blaum on February 28, 1948
in Emden.
Iva Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her
sister, Louise Kistner; and her nephew, Terry
Kistner.
Iva Mae was a graduate of Deaconess Hospital of
Lincoln, she retired from Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital in 1985 after 46 years of service. She was
the supervisor of medical surgery on the first floor
of the Deaconess Hospital, and the 4th floor of
Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Iva Mae was also
the Director of Nursing at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital from 1958-1985. |
Services for Iva Mae will be 11:00 a.m. Monday
August 24, 2015 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln. Visitation will be prior to the
service, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday August
24, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be at New
Union Cemetery. Memorial donations in Iva Mae’s name
can be made to New Holland First United Methodist
Church. Services are entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
