Each child at these facilities will be given a quilt, to keep,
when they arrive. The quilts provide, not just warmth, but comfort
because it gives them something they can call their own in a strange
new place.
Contributing quilters for this year's projected included: Ruth
Gordon, Violet Beck, Rosie Price, Pat Daugherty, Connie Stock, and
Donna Campbell, Atlanta; Jill Boyd, Lincoln; Irene Milton, McLean.
This partnership will continue in 2016 as the two groups set a goal
of 50 quilts for the Cunningham Children's Home and Lessie Bates
Home. The Atlanta Quilting Corner will also be making 50 quilts for
the Children's Hospital at Saint Francis, Peoria.
Anyone interested in helping meet this 100 quilt goal is invited to
come and be a part! For more information contact 217-960-6261.

The Quilting Corner is privileged to have a workspace made
available by the Atlanta Parks Department, at the Memorial Community
House basement.
In that space, the group can tie and bind any size quilt. Utilizing
a donated quilt frame, they can machine quilt for a professional
finish.
The Atlanta Quilting Corner would like to say "Thank-you" to the
Atlanta Parks Department and WDC Managment, Inc. for these wonderful
work spaces.
