 The group made and donated 130 hats and 130 scarves to the Home
Sweet Home Ministries in Bloomington. The gave 42 hats and 69
scarves to the Logan County Department of Public Health, eight hat
and scarf sets to the Atlanta Methodist Church "Santa Shop," and 85
hats to the Olympia South Grade School in Atlanta.
The guild is dedicated to provided handmade goods to community
service agencies, charitable organizations, local schools, and
churches. This year several knitters were involved in the projects
including Jill Boyd of Lincoln, Lori Cotton, Tina Small, Judy
Haththorn, Ruth Gordon, Pat Daugherty, Kendra Jones, Connie Stock,
and Donna Campbell, all of Atlanta.
 The group has an ambitious list of projects for 2016. They plan to
make winter hats for the Atlanta school, Chemo hats and afghans for
the Children's Hospital at Saint Francis in Peoria, prayer shawls
for local churches; and items for the "Santa Shop" at the Atlanta
Methodist Church.
The Guild is always happy to welcome new knitters or crocheters to
their fold, and invite anyone who is interested in being a part of

The group meets every Monday afternoon from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the
Atlanta Manor, 201 N. Howard Street, Atlanta.

The Manor is under the management of WDC Management. The guild is very
appreciative of the generosity of the management group, as it allows the guild
to meet in their community room, but also permits the group to store its
supplies there as well. The community room allows easy access for the membership
and enable many to come and participate in the charity projects as well as the
guilds learning workshops. Without the support of WDC Management, Inc., the
Guild would be unable to provide as many items to those in need in Central
Illinois.
