- Larry Wayne McAfee, 70, of Springfield, passed away at 10:40 a.m.
on Monday, November 30, 2015 at St. John’s Hospice.

Obituary
Larry Wayne McAfee, 70, of Springfield, passed away
at 10:40 a.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015 at St.
John’s Hospice.
Larry was born March 18, 1945 in Springfield, the
son of Norman and Imogene Smith McAfee.
Larry attended Lake Fork Grade School and Mount
Pulaski High School, and proudly served his country
in the United States Army. He worked as an Autobody
Painter for 37 years and retired from Springfield
Welding and Autobody. He enjoyed rebuilding and
restoring cars, attending car shows and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two sisters, Linda (husband,
Larry) Robbins of Sherman and Nancy (husband, Harry)
Long of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Ceremony: 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December
5, 2015 at Steenbergen Cemetery in Mount Pulaski
with Pastor Henry Johnson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s
Hospital Hospice Program, 800 E. Carpenter,
Springfield, IL 62769.
