Dec 7 (The Sports Xchange) - The St.
Louis Rams fired offensive coordinator Frank Cignetti, head coach Jeff
Fisher announced, and replaced him with assistant head coach/offense Rob
Boras.

St. Louis suffered a 27-3 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
It was the team's fifth straight loss.
In the team's five-game losing streak, the Rams have scored a total
of 54 points and converted 16-of-70 third-downs (22.9 percent).
Against Arizona, they were 1-for-12 on third down.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, who left Sunday
night's 45-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth quarter
with shoulder and neck injuries, is not sure if he will be able to
play this Sunday against Jacksonville.
Hasselbeck said that he initially got hurt in the first quarter
before a third-quarter hit brought the medical staff onto the field.
With Andrew Luck still sidelined by a lacerated kidney and shoulder
injury, the Colts could be forced to turn to Charlie Whitehurst, who
played the final two drives against the Steelers.

Baltimore Ravens tight end Nick Boyle has been suspended for the
final four games for violating the NFL's policy on performance
enhancing substances, the league announced.

Boyle's suspension without pay begins immediately. He will be
eligible to return to the Ravens' active roster on Monday, Jan. 4
following the team's last regular-season game against the Cincinnati
Bengals.
Boyle has 18 catches for 153 yards in 11 games this season.
