[December 11, 2015]  Dec 10 (The Sports Xchange) - New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski returned to practice on Thursday for the first time since injuring his right knee on Nov. 29.

He wore a brace to protect the injured knee and was seen jogging during the part of practice open to reporters. His availability for Sunday's game against the Houston Texas has not yet been revealed.

Gronkowski sprained and bruised the knee in a loss to the Denver Broncos and missed last Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said he would apologize to LeSean McCoy for mishandling the former All-Pro running back's trade to the Buffalo Bills in March.

Based on the tenor of McCoy's comments this week, the chances of Kelly getting the chance to deliver that apologize are narrow.

"How he was traded wasn't handled right," Kelly said. "If he doesn't want to shake my hand, I understand that. But I will always shake his hand."

Cleveland Browns tight end Gary Barnidge has signed a contract extension, the club announced.

Terms were not revealed and Barnidge did not give specifics when asked about the contract. The two sides were known to be discussing a multi-year deal, according to published reports.

The 30-year-old Barnidge is enjoying the best season of his career and leads the Browns with 60 receptions and seven receiving touchdowns. His 817 receiving yards rank second behind Travis Benjamin.

Michael Cavallari, the 30-year-old brother-in-law of Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, was found dead Thursday in Utah after his car was abandoned nearly two weeks ago.

Cavallari's sister is former reality television star Kristin Cavallari, who is married to Cutler.

The body was located Thursday morning in Grand County, Utah, in an area with steep and rocky terrain near exit 175 off Interstate 70. The Grand County Sheriff's Office was part of a search that lasted for days.

Kristin Cavallari said the sheriff's office informed her family that the body was found and that it was being taken to the Utah Medical Examiner in Salt Lake City for identification and to determine a cause of death.
