"The Logan County
Coroner, Robert Thomas, has announced that Charles Isaac Wood, age
36, of Glen Carbon, IL, was pronounced dead at 2:26 pm on December
11, 2015 at the railroad crossing on Oak Street in Broadwell
Illinois.
"Mr. Wood’s death
was due to a single vehicle collision with a train. The crash is
under investigation by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department and the
Logan County Coroner’s Office. An autopsy has been performed and
death was due to the blunt force injuries from the collision.
"At this time, the
family has not made any final funeral arrangements."
