On Wednesday evening, it was a
happy festive atmosphere at Castle Manor as guests, family, friends
and members of the community gathered for the annual Castle Manor
Christmas Gala.
The Manor has a new chef on duty who put out a beautiful and
delicious spread that included prime rib, shrimp, meatballs, roasted
vegetables, green beans and rolls, as well as a huge array of
decadent desserts.
In the background a pianist sat at the grand piano softly playing
Christmas favorites, and, of course, it can't be Christmas without
Santa. The jolly old Saint was on hand visiting with the young and
young at heart and filling the area with loads of happy laughter.
There were bittersweet moments, as residents and friends remembered
Director Marsha Darlington whose husband passed away this week. Due
to this, Marsha was not on hand for the celebration, and she was
greatly missed by everyone.
