Mathieu suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 40-17
victory over the Philadelphia Eagles that moved the Cardinals to
12-2 for the season as they clinched the NFC West title.
Mathieu intercepted a Sam Bradford pass and limped off the field.

Houston Texans quarterback T.J. Yates suffered a torn ACL in his
left knee and is out for the season, coach Bill O'Brien confirmed.
Yates was replaced in Sunday's game by third-string quarterback
Brandon Weeden.
O'Brien also said quarterback Brian Hoyer is still in the concussion
protocol and the Texans signed quarterback/receiver B.J. Daniels off
of the Seattle Seahawks' practice squad.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota suffered an MCL sprain
to his right knee in last Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots
and will miss Sunday's game against the Houston Texans.
Titans coach Mike Mularkey said it has not been decided if Mariota
will be shut down for the season.

Matt Cassel is out and Kellen Moore takes over as starting
quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, who will start four different
quarterbacks in a season for the second time in franchise history.
Cassel was 1-6 and Brandon Weeden went 0-3 before the Cowboys
released him.
Moore completed 15 of 25 passes for 158 yards, one touchdown and
three interceptions in the Cowboys' 19-16 loss to the New York Jets
on Saturday.

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, recovering from
surgery associated with a sports hernia injury, is not returning to
practice this week.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, during his weekly appearance on 710
ESPN Seattle, did not provide a timetable for when Lynch would be
ready to return.

An irritated Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning refuted a
report that he told the team he did not want to be a backup, whether
it was in practice as he works to return to the field or in games.

NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported Sunday morning on NFL Network that
Manning has no interest in serving as the backup to Brock Osweiler.
On Sunday night, following the Broncos' 34-27 loss to the Pittsburgh
Steelers, Manning was asked for a response to the report as he
exited the locker room to speak to Steelers owner Dan Rooney.
"It's bull----, and it's insulting," Manning told Jeff Legwold of
ESPN.com.
Asked if the comment was for the record, Manning said: "Yes, and I
can't say it any plainer than that."

The New England Patriots are expected to sign free agent running
back Steven Jackson, according to multiple reports.
The Patriots have been hit hard by injuries at running back this
season, with the latest casualty being LeGarrette Blount a week ago
after he suffered a hip injury in Week 14 that ended his season.

The Atlanta Falcons reached an injury settlement with guard Jon
Asamoah. The move saves the Falcons $3.5 million in cash and $1.9
million in cap space next year, according to ESPN.com. Asamoah will
be off the books in 2017.
The injury settlement means he is now a free agent.
