							Obituary
Dorothy Ellen Hawks, 85, of Lincoln, passed away
December 24, 2015, at the Christian Village in Lincoln.

							Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.
Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at Holland Barry &
Bennett Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10
a.m. Wednesday also at the funeral home with Pastor
Roger James officiating. Burial will follow in New
							Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Dorothy was born April 14, 1930, in Buffalo Hart,
the daughter of Russell and Letha Mae (Bozarth)
Dennison. She married Eldon Hawks on June 11, 1988,
in Lincoln. He preceded her in death on November 16,
							2014.

Dorothy was a member of Full Gospel Evangelistic
Center, Lincoln. She had a deep faith. She was a
blessing to others and often took the time to pray
for her family and friends. Jesus accepted her with
open arms and I am sure he said to her “Well done
thy good and faithful servant.” She was a cook at
the Christian Village for several years. Dorothy
enjoyed crocheting and made many beautiful pieces
for her family and friends. She collected dolls and
crocheted beautiful clothing for them. |

Surviving are her brother Roger Dennison and wife
Mary of Elkhart, sister Jill Gardner of
Williamsville, sister Elizabeth Jackson and husband
David of Williamsville, and stepdaughters Mary
Garcia of Lincoln, and Gladys Patrick of Westmont.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband Eldon Hawks, brothers Jim Dennison, Marshall
Dennison, and Don Dennison, and sister Beulah
							Hunter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Full
Gospel Evangelistic Center and will be accepted at
							the funeral home.
