[February 02, 2015]  It appears the President's move to end the war in the Middle East may have been premature to say the least. With the triggers being pulled all over the Middle East reported in the current news cycle, it appears the war effort is eventually going to intensify once again. With the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and the Islamic State of Iraq Levant (ISIL) having been established in Syria and Iraq, with continuing advancements being made from their efforts, there is yet another Israeli foe. With the movement of that jihad and the other Muslim countries in the Middle East and Northern Africa it appears Israel is once again being surrounded to become the target of a group of nations trying to eradicate Israel's existence. One doesn't need to have much of an imagination to see an attempt at annihilation coming for the small country of Israel.

Nations seem to be gearing up to surround Israel with the intent to carry out their threats consistently hurled toward Israel. It seems likely those people groups of those nations will come against Israel with the intent to destroy them. Rather than a giant leap, the events happening right before our eyes is but a small step in believing the world is beginning its move against Israel. It is likely Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu will present a more detailed picture of the movement of nations around his tiny nation when he speaks to the United States Congress in February.

We know the Palestinians have long since declared their intention to destroy Israel. The so-called "Arab Spring" has culminated in the toppling of leadership that either had peace with Israel (Egypt) or at least kept busy fighting each other to bother too much with Israel (Iraq and Iran). Now we see Egypt is governed by the Muslim Brotherhood, Iran is close to having nuclear capabilities, Syria continues to fight for its independence, even while the Islamic State is being formed in Syria and Iraq, but will likely remain tied to Muslim ideology, Libya has vowed to fight Israel, Iraq continues to be unstable with fighting factions of ISIL Muslims, Jordan and Lebanon want to see Israel destroyed and Saudi Arabia, as a Muslim nation, would join the forces of their neighbors and could not be trusted to stand for Israel. Finally, in the United States the President has also been heard to say from the audio portion of his book that if the tides turn against the Muslims he would have to join with them. It remains to be seen whether Americans would follow him in his quest to stand with the Muslims against our ally, Israel.

Outside the immediate circle of Israel stands an army numbered in the millions from China; along with Russia who has supported Syria and Iran even now. Russia has recently announced they have opened negotiations with Iran to sell them a missile defense system that will protect them from retaliation from others in case they decide to launch a first-strike. The "gift" from Russia to Iran will also give them the missile delivery system they will eventually need to deliver nuclear warheads to their enemies. Finally, even the United States has made overtures of backing away from support of Israel. The President, in the past, has publically rebuffed meetings with Israel's Prime Minister in favor of his own campaigning for re-election; we witnessed that during the last presidential election cycle. More recently he has rebuffed a meeting with the Prime Minister when he visits the United States to speak before the Congress in February. As has already been mentioned, the President stated clearly that if the tides turn against the Muslims, he is ready and willing to join in with them. It seems clear by watching the President's actions that his allegiance is not always in the best interest in the safety of the United States nor the allies of the United States against radicalized, Islamic terrorist activities around the world. He has repeatedly "drawn lines" over which enemies could not cross, but watched him retreat from those lines as his bluff was called. This has been with both Syria and Russia.

One might consider the President's sentiment in regard to the world events not simply being his own, but ownership by the democrat party as well. Many remember that during their national convention there was the attempt of the Democrat Party to exclude God from their Platform. Additionally, they wanted to omit the declaration of Jerusalem being the capital of Israel. Millions saw on television the three attempts to voice-vote God and Jerusalem's status as capital of Israel back into the platform with the Arab-Americans loudly voicing opposition. It was returned to the platform only because the Chair overrode the voice vote by declaring those in favor to be winners...the decision that was written on the teleprompter before even the first vote was taken!

All of this action, or lack of action from the Administration by "leading from behind" is having a profound effect on the events of the world regarding peace. ISIL is making headway in their recruitment efforts around the world. Even now we have learned there are many citizens from Great Britain and the United States who have supported the movement of ISIL in their jihad to establish a caliphate in Syria and Iraq that forms a platform from which to launch terrorist attacks against Israel and other world targets. Additionally, the open borders supported by the President and the democrat party allows tens of thousands of illegal immigrants migrating across that unprotected border from areas where the people may have been involved in American-hating activities they wish to nurture from inside America.

So, if one wanted to speculate we might be witnessing the formation of another war in the Middle East that would involve not only the nations surrounding Israel, but those that lie beyond the concentric circle, those trying to refute such build-up would be hard pressed to offer up convincing arguments against that while acknowledging the movement now underway. There is no doubt such a world-changing balance of power would definitely weaken the stability of the Western world, especially the United States. There comes a point of "diminishing return" beyond which it becomes virtually impossible to regain lost ground.
