Lynch is set to become a free agent after the 2015 season. If the
extension is signed, Lynch reportedly would make $10 million in 2015
instead of the $5 million he is currently due next season, the final
year of what originally was a four-year, $31 million deal.
Lynch had another huge season with 1,306 rushing yards and 17 total
touchdowns. He has rushed for at least 1,200 yards in each of the
past four seasons.

The NFL has not yet interviewed Patriots coach Bill Belichick and
quarterback Tom Brady in the two weeks since the league began
investigating whether the team deliberately underinflated footballs,
according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.

"I heard all that -- I couldn't believe it when I heard it," Ravens
coach John Harbaugh said on NBC's Super Bowl pregame show. "It's
ridiculous, it never happened. I never made any call. Nobody in our
organization made any call. As a matter of fact, just to make sure I
had all the facts, I called up Chuck Pagano this week and asked him,
'Did anybody else in our organization tip you off about deflated
footballs?' and he said, 'No way.'"

Detroit Lions president Tom Lewand said he expects the team will be
able to re-sign defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
"I really do believe he's got a lot invested in here, in himself and
the community and the football team," Lewand said during an
interview on WDIV-TV in Detroit. "He wants to have success in the
NFL, obviously, but he wants to do that with us.
The All-Pro Suh is eligible to become a free agent if the team does
not use its franchise tag on him by March 2. The franchise tag
reportedly would be $26.9 million for 2015.
