- John Bowns, 81, of Lincoln passed away at 5:30 a.m., January 30,
2015 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield.

Visitation: From 4 to 6 p.m. on
Wednesday February 4, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Service:
11 a.m. Thursday February 5, at the First Baptist
Church in Lincoln with a visitation one hour prior
to the service

Obituary
John Bowns, 81, of Lincoln passed away at 5:30 a.m.,
January 30, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center,
Springfield.
John was born on December 13, 1933 in Lincoln, the
son of Wm. Franklin and Iva Myrtle Naugle Bowns. He
married Beverly June Tebo on May 14, 1977 in
Lincoln. She survives in Lincoln; also surviving is
his sister, Mary Bowns-Howerton of Lodi, CA. He was
preceded in death by his parents; his brothers,
Wayne and Jim; his sisters, Helen Bowns and Mildred
“Millie” Bowns Fox.
John was a veteran of The U.S. Army; he served his
country during The Korean War. He was a painting
contractor and he was a long time member of The
First Baptist Church. |
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. with a
visitation one hour prior on Thursday February 5,
2015 with Rev. Ben Manley and Rev. Robert Williams
officiating at First Baptist Church in Lincoln.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on
Wednesday February 4, 2015 at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Memorial donations may be made in John’s name to the
First Baptist Church Building Fund.
