Tammy Renee' Harris to perform in Lincoln

LINCOLN - St. John United Church of
Christ music committee is sponsoring a concert by Tammy Renee’
Harris on Sunday, February 8 at 2:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of the
church at 204 Seventh Street in Lincoln. The concert is free and
open to the public.

Tammy Renee’ Harris is a Broadway-Style Concert singer whose
versatile style is evident in her repertoire which consists of Big
Band, Broadway, Classical, Patriotic, Country, Pop and Gospel music.
Some in the industry have even dubbed her as ‘the new Barbra
Streisand’.
Tammy Renee’ Harris grew up in Flora, Illinois, graduated from SIU-Edwardsville
with a degree in Radio-Television Production and Music Performance.
She has had leading roles in productions of The Sound of music,
South Pacific, Guys And Dolls, Oklahoma, Pajama Game, West Side
Story and Annie. She has also shared the stage with many well-known
personalities but the greatest was her friend, the late Ralph Blane,
composer of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.

Her concert, set on a Valentine Variety theme is planned for
every age group, from children to the eldest Senior Citizen. A
free-will offering will be taken. A social hour will follow the
program in the Fellowship Hall of St. John.
