Rockets forward Dwight Howard, expected to be out at least four more
weeks with swelling in his right knee, received a bone-marrow injection
in the knee Wednesday.

Howard has not played since Jan. 23 as he has dealt with fluid
buildup in the knee. The injection Wednesday was to regenerate
growth of cartilage and was done because he was expected to miss the
next month anyway, the Houston Chronicle reported.

Brooklyn Nets scout Jim Sann was expected to be released from a New
Jersey hospital Wednesday, three days after suffering a heart attack
during practice.
Sann, a 46-year-old father of two who lost his wife to cancer three
years ago, was revived by Nets trainer Tim Walsh and his staff.

The Charlotte Hornets signed guard Elliot Williams to a 10-day
contract and waived guard Jannero Pargo.
Williams joins the Hornets from the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA
Development League. The 6-foot-5 Williams has seen action in 19
games Santa Cruz this season, averaging 20.1 points, 7.6 assists,
4.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals.

The Golden State Warriors assigned center Ognjen Kuzmic to the Santa
Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League.

The 7-foot, 260-pound Kuzmic has appeared in 10 games (all starts)
for Santa Cruz this season, compiling averages of 8.5 points, 10.5
rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 1.6 assists.

The Phoenix Suns assigned guard Tyler Ennis and forward T.J. Warren
to the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League.
For Ennis and Warren, both rookies, this is their fourth assignment
