Obituary
LINCOLN-Helen C. French, 97, of Lincoln passed away
at 9:22 a.m. February 4, 2015 at Memorial Medical
Center, Springfield.
Helen was born January 18, 1918 in Lincoln, the
daughter of Michael and Molly Klask Dutz. She
married Ramey M. French April 4, 1950 in Lincoln. He
preceded her in death May 15, 2005.
Helen is survived by one son: Paul Alan (Nancy)
French of Lincoln; four grandchildren: Adam (Angel)
French of Atlanta; Nathan (Jennifer Stout) French of
Lincoln; Heidi (Steve) Browne of Lincoln: Andy
Daugherty of Atlanta; 7 great-grandchildren, Konner
Browne; Karter Browne; Kannon Browne; Ivory French;
Ezra French; Ava French and Ezikiel French; one
sister: Betty Eaton of Lincoln. She was preceded in
death by her parents, husband, three brothers, two
sisters, and one great grandson. |
Helen was a LPN and retired from Lincoln
Developmental Center in 1977; she worked in the
office at Park Meadows Church until the age of 92 ;
worked at Sunshine Meadow for 12 ½ years; and 11
years at Maple Ridge Care Centre. She was a member
of Park Meadows Baptist Church having sung in the
choir for 40 years, church clerk for 20 years and
nursery coordinator.
Services for Helen will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday,
February 10, 2015 at Park Meadows Baptist Church
with Rev. Jeremy Vance officiating. Visitation will
be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. prior to services at the
church. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery following
the service. Memorials may be given to Park Meadows
Baptist Church Building Fund in her memory.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, is
handling arrangements.
