 02/06/2015 NFL Note - Seattle Seahawks Thomas, Earl
S Earl Thomas played through a separated shoulder and torn labrum
during the Super Bowl and reportedly will soon have surgery to
repair the shoulder.
The four-time Pro Bowl pick is expected to be ready in time for the
start of the 2015 season, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Thursday.
NFL.com also reported the pending surgery, saying Thomas would be
out 6-8 months.
Thomas suffered the injuries during the NFC Championship Game
against the Green Bay Packers but returned to the field and two
weeks later played in the Super Bowl XLIX loss to the New England
Patriots.

NFL Note - * Free Agents Oher, Michael
T Michael Oher had his contract terminated by the Titans Thursday
(Feb. 5) with the designation failed physical.
Oher, otherwise famous as the inspiration for the book (and movie)
"The Blind Side," signed a four-year, $20 million contract with the
Titans last offseason and struggled before being placed on injured
reserve in December with a toe injury.
He had joined the Titans after leaving the Baltimore Ravens, where
he had given up 22.5 sacks the previous two seasons. Before going on
IR last season, he gave up six sacks in 11 games.
Oher, 28, will count $3 million against the salary cap in 2015, but
the Titans will save $2 million by releasing him.
